about

Al musik har det med at forsvinde og på et blad hæn-
ger en dråbe og fordamper (All music has disappe-
ared and on a leaf hangs a drop and evaporates)

(2:40) Take 2. The guitar has capo on 2nd fret. The
deep E-string is tuned down in D. The harmonica is
in E-major and is used to "sound the gap together".
The song originates from the poem "Al musik for-
svinder og på...". This was a sentence that I have not
been able to get rid of again. It rotated in my head
over and over and I therefore had to get out of the
body. That's the way it is. That's how it is with the
"music" - it evaporates like the drop on a leaf. And
yes, it had to be sung (said). Poetry contains for me a
natural inner quality of music and a blurred truth
that fades together somewhere on the inner edges of
the sentences. For everything has an edge that we can
fall beyond. And it is precisely when we hit the edge
that we look back and, for the first time, reflect on
where we really are. Where we feel who we are, what
we are and what we are a part of, while the last notes
evaporate quietly. I dedicate the number to my lovely
daughter Josephine.
