about

Åndedræt (Breath) (4:39) Take 6, D minor with capo
on 3rd fret. The guitar's deep E string is tuned into
B. There is a harmonica (Am minor) on it, which in
turn has the role of a drone (“a stringer”).
"Åndedræt" did not have its title when I recorded it.
It was only at the hearing that it became "Åndedræt".
As Torben and I listened to the recording, Ditte
noticed that both of our breaths had calmed down.
Our breaths sank down and found a rental with the
music. I told her it was as if I was breathing through
the harmonica which was almost a lifeline. Torben
said, "why not call it åndedræt (breath). Having a
breath is about life. Is about oxygen - about the
ability to live. “Åndedræt” is written a few days
before it was recorded, on a week overshadowed by an
event that deeply touched me. This song is a tribute to
the breath and must of course be dedicated to Torben
for the title of the title.
