about

Springdans (Jump dance) (5:03) Last take of approx.

10, H major with capo on 2nd fret. The guitar is tu-
ned in A, A, D, E, A, E. I have to say I do not like,

doing many takes of the same number. I feel like I'm
losing the "freshness" that I'm trying to capture. But
here it was needed. The more I played the number,
the deeper I came. I don't remember where it was I
wrote this piece, but I do know that my inspiration is
drawn in the way the guitar is tuned. Here the
concept of "tuning" is given a very specific meaning,
which calls for a specific basic approach to the
instrument. And obviously the "mood" moved me
towards tempo and yes - a dance. The tune is allmost
a dance itself. Though it was a surprise to me when I
heard the playback how loose it really was. Despite
reaching a fast melody sketch, the improvisatory and
"the free thing" still fill a lot. I am pleased with that.
Bark. (5:32) Take 5, E minor with capo on 2nd fret.
Again, I used a piece of plastic between the strings.
